Rosemarie Poukish

Rosemarie Mascio Poukish, 90, of Dallas, PA passed away peacefully on September 4, 2021. She was the wife of the late John J. Poukish, Jr., her High School sweetheart with whom she was happily married for 59 years. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of Pasquale Mascio and Olive (Musser) Mascio. The family included 12 children, two sisters survive: Mildred and June.

Rose graduated from Overbrook High School in Philadelphia and worked as a bookkeeper and secretary in Philadelphia. In addition to being a wife, mother and homemaker, after 24 years, Rose returned to work as a secretary for ten years in the New Jersey school system, before retiring to Bethlehem, PA. Rose was a member of the United Methodist Church in Stanhope, NJ and Bethlehem, PA. Rose and John volunteered for Meals on Wheels for several years. She loved her bowling league, card club, and women's groups at church.

Rose was mother to John III, Roy, Susan, and Elaine; grandmother to seven, and great-grandmother to seven; all of whom she greatly loved.

A memorial service will be held at a later date from The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, PA 18612.
