Patricia Gardner

June 28, 1943 — July 4, 2020

Patricia “Patsy” Audrey Gardner, 77 of Dallas passed away July 4th, 2020.
Born in Dallas, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine Polacky. She was a graduate of West Side Central Catholic. She was a member of Gate of Heaven parish.

Patsy worked most recently at Gertrude Hawk, and her sons restaurant Uncle Bucks bbq. Earlier in her career, she was a nurses aid at Little Flower Manor. She worked two jobs because she enjoyed people and liked to stay busy but it also helped with her vacation fund as she loved to travel. Patsy always was involved in her children and grandchildren’s life. She worked as a cafeteria worker for both Gate of Heaven and Bishop O' Reilly.
Patsy was an avid quilter and crafter. It was certain that you didn’t have to worry about cold feet in her house because she had hand knit slippers in a basket for anyone and everyone.
Saturday mornings were her days to cook breakfast for anyone that showed up at her house. Her grandkids, friends of grandkids, neighbors, it didn’t matter as long as you left with a full belly.

She was preceeded in death by her sons, Todd and Bradley Gardner, son in laws, Peter Konnick and Jim Marcikonis, and sister, Jeannie Herman. Surviving is her husband of 58 years , Fred Gardner, and her children Vicki Marcikonis, Shavertown; Brian and daughter in law Dawna, Dallas; Debbie Konnick, Dallas; Sheryl Gardner and son in law Clayton Yeust Tunkhannock; and Randy, Ohio. and brother, Joseph Polacky, Lawrenceville, Georgia, and sisters, Mary Flagge (Bill) Marietta, Georgia and Carol Sitar (Joe), Chester Spring, PA.
