Michaelene “Micki” Jerome, 55, Wilkes-Barre, went to be with her Savior on Monday, September 6, 2021 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Milaslav and Agnes Olszewski Koncik.
Micki worked as a Certified Medical Assistant with Penn State Heart Group.
She was actively involved with her Church (The Parsons Primitive Methodist Church) with her husband Rev. Andrew Jerome as the pastor. Some of her many roles include Adult Sunday School leader, Children’s Church Director, Choir and Ladies Aide member.
Micki loved nothing more than spending time with her family. Her favorite titles were “Mother” and “Grandma.” She especially enjoyed traveling and sharing music with her family, and holidays were always a special time.
She was a natural teacher, and was always excited to share her love of Jesus with everyone. Her faith was evident in all who knew her.
Her home was as open as her heart and she welcomed everyone with open arms, going above and beyond to help anyone at any time. Micki was also an amazing cook preparing most meals fresh from scratch – even Humphry’s dog biscuits.
Surviving her are husband The Rev. Andy Jerome with whom she celebrated 27 beautiful years of marriage, daughter, Abigail Jerome, sons, Christopher Jerome, and Caleb Jerome, two grandchildren, Betty Morgan and Mikey Jerome, and brother, Walter John Carver and his wife Doreen.
