Carol Jones

Carol D. Jones, 93, Dallas, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at The Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas. Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Archie Clocker and Maude Jones Clocker and was a graduate of GAR High School, Wilkes-Barre.

Carol was a member of The Shavertown United Methodist Church.  She was a nursing assistant at the Leader East Nursing Center Kingston and later worked at the Mercy Center as an operator. In high school, she was very active in the choir and as a cheerleader. Carol was also a Grey Shop’s Model with The Boston Store. Her husband was a football coach at West Pittston High School, Meyers High School, Dallas High School, and Temple University, and she was a very devoted wife in his coaching activities.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband John “Jack” Jones, son John “Jay” Jones, and older sister Jeanette Allabaugh. Surviving are her daughters, Sherri Pietrzak, and Holly Brauns, both of Dallas, her daughter-in-law Theresa Domanski Jones, and five grandchildren: Matthew and Nathan Pietrzak, Dr. Caroline Jones, Allison Jones Daly, and Chelsea Luebbert.
