Albert Digiuseppe

August 4, 1928 — December 26, 2020

Albert DiGiuseppe, 92, of Wilkes Barre, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 26, 2020 of complications from COVID-19. Albert was born and raised in Plymouth, PA and was a graduate of Plymouth High School. He was a US Army Veteran, having served between WWII and the Korean War. He attended the PA State Police Academy and had a 27-year career with the PA State Police. During his law enforcement career and well into his retirement years, Albert became well known for his pistol shooting prowess. He was routinely the top shooter in competitions from Maine to Florida. His house had so many trophies in it that he would routinely refuse to accept them and would give them away to be used for other competitions. Although Albert was thrilled to shoot and win the competitions, he was a very humble man who would often shun the accolades and play down his skills. He was a devout Christian who always gave credit to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Albert was preceded in death by his wife Josephine who passed away in 2014 and he is survived by nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

The funeral service will be private and limited to close family members.
