A. Jennie Hill, 98, Shavertown, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at her residence. Born in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Mary Whitby Hill and was a graduate of Kingston Twp. High School and Wilkes-Barre General Hospital School of Nursing. She had also earned a Master’s Degree in Guidance from Marywood University as well as a Bachelor’s degree from Wilkes College. Jennie was a Registered Nurse for the Dallas School District before her retirement. She was a member of The Shavertown United Methodist Church. Jennie was a lover of animals especially cats. Her latest rescue was Lucky.

She was preceded in death by her very dear friend, Mabel Jenkins in 2021. Surviving are her niece, Nancy LeBron and nephew Jay Hill. Caregivers, Jeannie, Janice, Bev C., June, Missy, Adele, Bonnie, Danielle, Linsey, Tracy, Dara, Bev S., and Linda.

Funeral service will be held, Monday, June 6, 2022 at 11:00 AM from The Shavertown United Methodist Church, Pioneer Ave., Shavertown. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
