Yolanda Sicolo, 99, passed away peacefully at the Meadows Nursing & Rehabilitation Center Friday, after a long battle with vascular Dementia. Born on November 12, 1923, in Brooklyn, NY, Yolanda was one of ten children. Born to parents Louis and Carmella Mangravito.
She married the love of her life, Enrico Sicolo on February 20, 1944. They moved to Long Beach, California, where they raised their four children.
After Enrico’s passing in 1978, Yolanda moved to Pennsylvania to be closer to family. She loved to cook, decorate her house, volunteer at the soup kitchen, listen to music (her favorite song was Bob Seger’s “Old Time Rock and Roll”), dance, play bingo, and watch “Everybody Loves Raymond” (her favorite show.)
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers, Arthur, Tony and Joseph; sisters Ann, Angie, Eleanor, and Theresa, and her daughter Dorothy Parker.
She is survived by son Rick Sicolo, daughters Camille Sicolo and Frances Betancourt, grandchildren Lisa Finnie, Julie Rawls, Chris Parker, Brianna Redding, Cassandra Sicolo, and Joseph Fioti; great-granddaughters Kayla Rawls and Aleigha Davis; brother Armand Mangravito and sister, Letitia (Sugar) Lybaert; and many nieces and nephews.
Yolanda was a kind and sweet woman with a great sense of humor. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
