Willard Jason Race, Sr. January 25, 2014 Willard Jason Race, Sr. "Bill", 80, a life-long resident of Dallas, passed on to his eternal home on 01/25/14 in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. He was the husband of the late Joan Davis Race. Bill graduated from Dallas Township High School, proudly ran the family dairy/produce farm in Dallas for most of his life and was the Franklin Township Road Master. He was a man of great faith, was committed to his church and family, was an avid hunter, master gardener, and was a faithful fan of the athletic events of his son, grandchildren, and great-grandson. He was a member of the Centermoreland United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents Russell & Mae Shotwell Race, brother Russell Race, sisters Pauline Smith, Alberta Cook, and Beatrice Gallagher, son-in-law David James, and grand-daughter, Megan James. Surviving are daughter Debra James and son Willard Race, Jr. "Bill" & Sandra. Grandchildren Kristyn Ecenrode & Shane, Willard "Jason" Race, III & Tori, and Michael Race & Natalie. Precious great-grandchildren Brady & Camryn Ecenrode. Sisters Betty Sweppenheiser, Barbara Prebola, and Dorothy Roberts. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and church family. Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at 11 am at The Centermoreland United Methodist Church, with The Rev. Nancy Lycett officiating. Interment will be in Marsh Cemetery, Centermoreland. Friends may call Tuesday 6 to 8 PM at The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, Pa.
