Willard Hoyt

May 18, 1924 — February 7, 2021

Willard J. Hoyt (96) of Dallas passed away Sunday, February 7, 2021 at The Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas. Born in Kunkle, he was the son of the late Sherman and Daisy Harris Hoyt and had attended Dallas Twp. Schools.

Willard served his country proudly as a Marksman in the United States Army, earning an Army of Occupation medal as a member of the 16th Infantry in Germany during the Korean War.

Willard had retired from B.F. Goodrich Tire Company. Earlier he had worked area farms including, John Honeywell, Goodleigh and Ryman Farms. He had also worked at Native Lace and Quality Metal

Willard was preceded in death by his wife, the former Josephine Drake Hoyt. Sisters, Ruth Hilgert and Pearl Hoyt. Brothers, Clyde, Lewis, Alfred, Ralph, Stanley, and Gersham Hoyt. Son-in-law, Charles O’Kane, III.

Surviving are his daughters, Ann Kelly and her husband Frank, and Bev Kitchen and her husband Danny, both of Dallas. Grandchildren, Angela, Matthew, and Jeffrey Kelly. Brother, Raymond Hoyt. Along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, Inc, 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, Pa. 18612 Online condolences can be made to Disquefuneralhome.com
