Virginia A. Hakim

Virginia Hakim , 83, of Plains Township, passed into the hands of the Lord Tuesday morning, December 12, 2023 with both daughters by her side. Born in Plymouth, she was the daughter of the late John and Lottie Kmush.

      Virginia was a graduate of Plymouth High School. She was employed by Social Security Administration before she started her family. She was a member of All Saints Parish, Plymouth. 

       Virginia will be remembered as a wonderful and loving mother who always put her family first. She enjoyed being a stay at home mom while her children were growing up . She enjoyed gardening, shopping with her daughters, and taking care of various stray animals. She was a friend to all animals. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

      Virginia was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Arthur Hakim, who passed away in August; and her brother John Kmush.

      Surviving are her daughters, Tracey Hakim and Kelly Hakim, both of Plains Township and her sister Nancy Rowlands, Plymouth.

    In accordance with Virginia’s wishes, funeral service will be private and held at the convenience of the family from the Richard H Disque Funeral Home, 2940 Memorial Highway Dallas.
