Thomas C. Van Horn, 83, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 29th at the Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Dallas. Born on March 3, 1942 in Wilkes-Barre, PA, he was the son of the late Clarence Edward (Ed) and Ruth Churnside Van Horn and was a graduate of the Dallas Class of 1960. Tom was employed as a Professional Bus Driver for Martz Trailways for 38 years where he won many safety awards. He continued to drive for Emanuel Bus Lines after his retirement in 2004. Tom loved to drive, whether it be his Harley, a bus, or the lawn mower! He was a 50+ year member of the Irem Temple Shriners, George M. Dallas Lodge #531, Dieu Le Veut Commandery #45, Shekinah Royal Arch Chapter #182, and Mount Horeb Council #34.

Surviving is his wife, Alice Doran, with whom he celebrated 65 years of marriage in November. Surviving along with Alice are his sister, Ruth Ann Reutter, Enfield, CT; brother in law, Jerry Rea, Yuma, AZ; son, Edward (Sue), Dallas, and daughters, Deborah Parker (Chris), Forty Fort, and Wendy Fisk (Jim), Dallas; grandchildren, Anthony Van Horn, Thomas Van Horn, Samuel Van Horn, Isaiah Parker and Payton Parker; great-grandchildren, Ezra, Clara, Colton, Lilah, Luke and Leo Van Horn. Pop was all smiles when the grandchildren were around!

The family would like to thank The Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Home Instead, and Homebound for their care and support.
