Shirley Osborne

Shirley D. Osborne, 83, of Dallas, passed away, Saturday, April 8, 2017, at her residence. Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Ruth (Phelps) Schiebel and was a graduate of West Scranton High School. Shirley was a housewife, raising her four children. For a short time, she was a clerk typist for Boys Town in Omaha. Shirley was a member of Gate of Heaven Church, Dallas. She was preceded in death by a brother, George Schiebel. Surviving are her husband, Theron, at home; daughters, Cynthia Mohen and her husband, Eugene, of St. Cloud, Fla., Laurie Naugle Osborne, of Dallas, Doreen Butler and her husband, Patrick, of San Felipe, Mexico; son, Douglas Osborne and his wife, Cheryl, of Dallas; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 11, 2017, from the Richard H. Disque Funeral Home Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, with funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Gate of Heaven Church, Dallas, with the Rev. Daniel Toomey, pastor, Gate of Heaven Church, officiating. Interment will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday.
