Robert Dingman

Robert Dingman, 86, Dallas, passed away, Thursday, August 3, 2017 at his residence. Born in Milford, Conn. he was the son of the late Frederick E. and The former Helen Louise McKenzie and was a graduate of Northeastern University, Boston with a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering. He was a Chemical Engineer and Vice President with Surface Processes. He and his wife later owned and operated Nancy's Country Store for some years in Wells, VT. Robert was a member of The Shavertown United Methodist Church and the Church Choir. He was also a member of The Wyoming Valley Harmony Chorus. Robert was preceded in death by sons, John, Bruce, and Brian Dodson and a brother, Peter Dingman. Surviving are his wife the former Nancy Powell, at home. Daughters, Laurie Whittemore and her husband Greg, San Jose, LA, Meredith Sutton and her husband Douglas, Del Valle, TX., Sons, Greg Dodson and his wife Robin, Amerilo, TX., Jonathan Dingman, Sarnia, Ontario, Andrew Dingman and his wife Katie, London, Ontario, Chris Dingman, Superior, Col., Scott Dingman and his wife Wanda, Ny, NY. 21 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 10:00 Am at The Shavertown United Methodist Church with The Rev. Judy Walker, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas.
