Robert Amann

Robert Carl Amann, 89, Dallas, passed away, Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at his residence. Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Keller Amann and was a graduate of GAR High School, Wilkes-Barre. He was retired from ARA Services & Vendors First Choice, Wilkes-Barre. Robert was a Veteran in the Army and was stationed in France. He was a member of St. Therese's Church, Shavertown. He was preceded in death by brothers, Joseph, James, and William. Sisters, Pauline Roberts, and Mary Frances Sweeney. Surviving is his wife of 60 years, the former Patricia Dalton at home, son, Robert J Amann and his wife Susan, Dallas. Two Grandchildren, Robert E Amann and wife Natasha, and Stacey Woncheck and husband David. Great Grandchildren, Noah Woncheck, Aliyah Amann, and Cameron Kuder. Several nieces and nephews. Funeral will be held Friday, August 25, 2017 at 10:00 am from The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, with Funeral Mass at 10:30 am at St. Therese's Church, Pioneer Ave., Shavertown, Pa. Interment with Military Honors will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Wilkes-Barre. Friends may call Friday from 9:00 am until time of service at the Funeral Home. Robert's family would like to thank Dr. Lanning Anselmi, Erwine Hospice and their staff, as well as Dr. Greenwald and his staff for the wonderful care given to Robert. In lieu of flowers, in Robert's memory, donations may be sent to Blue Chip Animal Farm Refuge, c/o 974 Lockville Road, Dallas, Pa. American Cancer Society, c/o 190 Welles Street, Forty-Fort, Pa. 18704.
