Richard J. Howe

     Richard J. Howe, 69, Shavertown, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. He was the son of the late Helen Ruth Spahalski Padrazis and Anthony Padrazis. He was a graduate of Pittston Area High School and College Misericordia with a Bachelors Degree in Education. 

      Richard taught art and photography at GAR in Wilkes-Barre until his retirement. He was active at GAR with coaching wrestling and girls soccer. He also taught hunter safety courses with the Pennsylvania Game Commission. He was an accomplished watercolor artist and an avid hunter and fisherman. Surviving is his wife, the former Deborah Travis, with whom he celebrated 22 years of marriage in August 2023.
