Richard P. Harrison, 92 of Trucksville passed away on Monday, October 24 at the Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Dallas.
He was born in Trucksville, son of the late Jacob and Elizabeth (Hoover) Harrison. He was a 1948 graduate of Kingston Township High School. Richard was a carpenter, he was employed by United Brotherhood of Carpenters. He worked on the Berwick Power Plant, schools, hospitals and he even built his own house. He was the President of Cedar Crest Cemetery Association. Richard frequently enjoyed walking along the Back Mountain Trail with his dog Pretzel, meeting and greeting many people along the way. He was a member of the Trucksville United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife Lillian (Gruver) Harrison with whom he enjoyed 49 years of marriage, also by his brother, Wayne Harrison, and sister Lorraine Chamberlain.
Surviving is his son Richard and wife Linda of Endicott, NY, and granddaughter Tara Berkowitz and husband Jeff.
The funeral service will be held on Friday October 28, 10am at Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, Inc., Pastor Jay Jones celebrant.
Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Sweet Valley.
