Regina Ference

      Regina Ference, 87, Luzerne, passed away, Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at The Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas. Born in Swoyersville, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Victoria Jagielski Ference and was a graduate of Swoyersville High School and College Misericordia. She had also earned a Master’s Degree in History from The University of Scranton.

    Regina was a member of St. Francis Cabrini Church as well as a Lay Minister of the church.  She also taught CCD class of St. Francis Cabrini. She was an Elementary School Teacher in the Wyoming Area School District until her retirement. She was an avid photographer.

     Regina was preceded in death by her brothers, Anthony and Stanley Ference and sisters, Jennie Metro and Lottie Coolick. Surviving are her nephew, Lawrence Coolick and his wife Karen, Luzerne. Great niece and nephew, Christopher and Bridget Coolick.

      Funeral Service will be held Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 9:30 AM from The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, 18612 and Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Francis Cabrini Church. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
