Raymond “Pop-Pop” Drugotch, 87, U.S. Air Force Veteran, Pennsylvania State Police Officer, business owner and beloved father / grandfather, died peacefully and entered eternal rest on February 27, 2026. Born in 1938 in Edwardsville PA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Anna (Ores) Drugotch.
Drugotch, a Good Conduct Medal recipient, proudly served his country in the Air Force during the Cold War working in radio communications. He played football making The East Allstar team stationed in the Philippians. In 1960, he became a State Trooper while earning a degree in criminal justice from Kings College. After 30 years with The Pennsylvania State Police, Lodge 43, Wyoming PA he retired in 1989. Ray owned and operated J&S service station for some time after. When Ray wasn’t working, you would find him doing his own home repairs and spending time with his family. Ray was an avid golfer and loved to drive the ball at courses in Boca Raton, FL and local course near Dallas PA.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, the former Christine Bigos. Surviving are the pride and joy of his life sons, Jeffery Raymond Drugotch and his wife Pamela, Perkasie, PA and Scott Drugotch and his wife, Sheila, Mt. Pleasant, SC. Pop-Pop’s cherished grandchildren, Eric Drugotch, Lauren Bowman, Kellie Henry, Coleman Drugotch, Olivia Drugotch and great grandson, Brooks Henry. Died before was his brother, Joseph Drugotch. Surviving is his treasured sister Marianne “Jake” Swinski and her husband Carl.
Funeral services will be held, Monday, March 9, 2026, at 9:30 am from The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, 2940 Memorial Highway, and Funeral Mass at 10:00 am at Gate of Heaven Church, Machell Ave, Dallas PA. Interment will be in Denison Cemetery, Swoyersville. Friends may call Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 pm and Monday from 9 am – 9:30 am at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at Disquefuneralhome.com.
