Philip Conlon

     Philip Conlon, 92, Dallas, passed away, Monday, November 20, 2023 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born in Cootehill County Cavan, Ireland and was the son of the late Michael and Brigid Connolly Conlon and was a graduate of Derry Gooney High School, County Monahan, Ireland.

     After emigrating to the US in 1955, he was a bus driver with Varsity Transit, Queens, NY. Moving to Dallas, PA in 2007.  He was a member of Gate of Heaven Church and well as an Altar Server and The Alar and Rosary Society and was a Eucharistic Minister. The Cavan Men’s Association. Philip would volunteer much of his time and energy at the Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas. He had served his country proudly with The National Guard from 1956 to 1958.

     Philip was preceded in death by his wife the former Patricia Matthews in 2020, Brothers, John, James, Michael, Patrick, Kevin, and Vincent. Sisters, Mary, Anne, Bridie, Kathleen, Rose, and Theresa. Surviving are a daughter, Janet Kiska, Shavertown, Sons, Philip Conlon and his wife Stephanie, Huntington, VT, Brian Conlon and his wife Jane, Bellerose, NY.  9 Grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

     Funeral service will be held, Monday, November 27, 2023 at 10:00 AM from The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, Pa. with Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM from Gate of Heaven Church, Matchell Ave, Dallas, Pa. Interment will be in Fern Knoll Burial Park, Dallas.
