Patricia Miers

Patricia Ann Miers, 70, Dallas, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late William and Patricia Rice and was a graduate of Ashley-Sugar Notch High School and The University of Pittsburgh school of nursing in 1971. She had worked at Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre as a OR Nurse. Patricia was a Little Miss Easter Seals for Pennsylvania and was active with the Red Cross Blood Mobile. She was a member of the Lehman-Idetown United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Ann Reilly and Stella Lanunziata. Surviving are her daughter, Rebecca Miers and her companion Larry Lansberry, Harveys Lake, Grandchildren, Charles Wayne Gordon, IV., and Alexandra Ann Gordon. Brothers, Joseph Rice and William Rice. Funeral will be held Privately, at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas. Patricia's family would like to thank Tracy and the nursing staff of Bayada Nursing for the care they gave.
