Nicholas Mazur, Jr.

Nicholas Mazur, Jr., 83, of Dallas, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital. Born in Kingston, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Anna (Maslovsky) Mazur and was a graduate of Edwardsville High School, Class of 1960. Nicholas was a member of Trucksville United Methodist Church. He proudly owned and operated Mazur Upholstery at Harveys Lake for more than 50 years before retiring. Prior to that, he worked at Metropolitan Wire and Craft Associates as an upholsterer. He served his country honorably in the United States Navy aboard the USS Wasp and was a member of George M. Dallas Masonic Lodge No. 531 F&AM. Nicholas was an avid hunter and fisherman, with Lake Ontario being his favorite destination to catch salmon. He had a lifelong appreciation for Corvettes and was a devoted fan of Elvis Presley. Surviving are his daughters, Amy L. Mazur-Hession of Annville, Pennsylvania, and Andrea Mazur-Quaile of Greensboro, North Carolina; and his brother, Robert Mazur. He was a beloved grandfather to Anna and Ella Hession, who affectionately knew him as “Grandpa Love.” Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
