Nesbitt F. Moore, 95, Dallas, passed away, Thursday, May 1, 2025 at his residence. Born in Kingston, he was the son of the late Alfred and Beatrice Newberry Moore. He was the first baby born at the maternity ward of Nesbitt hospital after which he was named. He was a graduate of Dallas township High School class of 1947. He was very active in high school with the football and baseball teams. He was very fond of fishing. Nesbitt served his country proudly with the Army during the Korean conflict, after which he was self-employed as a mason and in his later years worked for Commonwealth Telephone until his retirement.
Neb’s pride and joy was his family, to whom he was devoted. Neb was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, the former Gertrude McMichael. Also, by a son Timothy John Moore, brother, Robert Moore; sisters Ruth Moore and Phylis Culver. Surviving is a grandson, Timothy Moore and his wife Lauren, Dallas. Great Grandsons, Timothy and Abel Moore, Dallas along with many nieces and nephews. Sisters, Janet DeCosta, Massachusetts, Daughter-in-law, Dotie Depue and her husband Allen, Dallas. Above all, Neb loved the Lord and was a devoted Christian and member of the former East Dallas United Methodist Church.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at 11:00 AM from The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, PA. Interment will be in Chaple Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas. Friends may call Wednesday from 10:00 Am until time of service. On line condolences may be made at Disquefuneralhome.com.
