Nancy Kann Groblewski passed on to her next adventure, Sunday, June 10, 2018 at The Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas while in the company of her loving son Peter Groblewski. She was born on April 1, 1930 in Taylor, Pa to Henry and Gwendolyn Kann. She was raised along with her younger sister Louise in Trucksville, Pa where she attended Kingston Township School graduating in 1949. Nancy was described in her senior year book as “Our cute cheerleader with plenty of friends and a definite future”. She was also the class artist and took interest in class government.
In September of 1949 Nancy would marry Dr. Edward Anthony “Tony” Groblewski at St. Therese’s Church, Shavertown, Pa and overtime gave birth to seven fine sons who would be raised on Overbrook Road in Dallas.
She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother who gave her love of the outdoors to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She will be remembered as a wonderful cook, a talented artist, a dedicated animal lover and a good friend. Mostly she will be thought of fondly as a chatty mushroom picker and a devoted furry friend not far from her side.
She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Gwendolyn, her sister Louise and her sons Gregory and James.
Those left to cherish her memories include her husband of 69 years Tony, her sons Tony (Deborah), Mark, William (Jan), Peter (Pam) and Robert (Diana), her grandchildren, Jennifer, Sarah, Addie, Robert, Greg, Drew, Anna, Ellen and Peter. Her Great grandchildren, Alexander, Sabastian, Madeline, Lillian, Vivienne, Julia, George, and Jamey. As well as her lifelong friend, Clair Dominick.
Funeral services were held privately at the convenience of her family. Arrangements are under the direction of The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas.
