Michaeline A. Kmush

Michaeline A. Kmush, 81, Dallas, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2026 at Allied Hospice, Wilkes-Barre. Born in Kingston on December 20, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Frank M. and Mildred Simons Kmush. She was a member of St. Vladimir’s Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church in Edwardsville.

Michaeline graduated from Kingston High School in 1962 and Misericordia University, Cum Laude, with a Bachelor’s Degree in 1966. She also earned a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education, American history, from the University of Scranton in 1973. She had taught Spanish for over 30 years at the Dallas Junior High and Senior High Schools.

She was a member of the DEA, PSEA and NEA. Her most favorite pastime was reading. She had a huge library of books, mostly on history and politics.

Michaeline was preceded in death by her parents. Surviving are numerous cousins. Michaeline will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
