Marie Susan Steele, 91, Dallas, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Gardens at Lakeside. Born in Edwardsville, she was the daughter of the late John and Susan Stanislaw Duda and had attended the Back Mountain Schools.

Marie was a member of Gate of Heaven Church, Dallas. She was involved in food services with College Misericordia for 49 years. Marie was a beloved Mom, Gram, Grandma Booboo, Aunt, and Great Aunt. She loved cooking, baking, traveling, shopping, and spending time with her family. One of her favorite things to do was to attend the Back Mountain Library Auction.         She was preceded in death by her husband Emerson in 2000 and a son, Mark Paul Steele, also by sisters, Frances Howatch, Irene Dula, Anna

Dobransky, brothers, John, Victor, Leo, Frank, Jacob, Paul, and Peter Duda. Surviving are brother Andrew Duda, sister-in-law Jean Roberts Duda, daughters, Christine Bachman and her husband Sumner, Dallas, Susan Seward and her husband Larry, Dallas. Sons, Vernon Steele, Dallas, Ronald

Steele, Orlando, Fla., Michael Steele, Dallas. Daughter-in-law, Michele Steele, Whitehaven. 9 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren, and 25 nieces and nephews as well as numerous great nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 10:00AM at Chapel

Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas, with Rev. Daniel Toomey, pastor Gate of

Heaven Church, Dallas, officiating. Friends may call Friday from 6 to 8 pm at The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas. Those attending the funeral are to go directly to Chapel Lawn Memorial Park.
