Marian Templin

Marian L. Templin, 97, Dallas, passed away, Friday, October 7, 2022 at The Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas. Born in Meshoppen, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Helen Bunnell Dougherty and was a graduate of Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre and had attended Wilkes- Barre Academy Beauty School.

Marian was a member of the former Huntsville Christian Church, now Freedom Hill Church.  She was a Sunday school teacher and choir member for over 50 years. She was also a member of Serve Your City Club and Back Mountain Horseman’s Club. Some of her many favorite activities were gardening, spending time outdoors, her many animals (including two horses) and of course her grandchildren.

Marian was preceded in death by her husband Thomas M. Templin in 2009, Son, William Templin. Surviving are her daughters, Cheryl Ashton and her husband Bill, Dallas, Debra Lewis and her husband Brian, Shavertown. Son Robert Templin and his wife Sharon, Tunkhannock. Grandchildren, Brian, Rachel, Matt, Kyle, Kristen, and Ben as well as 11 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held Monday, October 10, 2022 at 6:00 PM at Freedom Hill Church 1160 Church Road, Dallas, Pa. Friends may call from 5:00 PM until time of service.
