Margrit A. Hislop, 80, of Trucksville, passed away, Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Kingston Health Care Center. Born in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Grace Moore Nievergelt and was a graduate of Kingston High School. Margrit worked for Weis Markets in Dallas for 25 years. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and was a former President of The Dorcus Society. She was a volunteer at The Meadows Nursing Center for 15 years. In addition, Margrit enjoyed many years as a member of the Dallas Ladies Golf League. Margrit was preceded in death by her husband Robert W. Hislop in 2002 and son, Robert Hislop in 1993 and brother Richard Nievergelt. surviving are a daughter, Sandy Rostkowski, Kingston, son, Charles R. Hislop and his wife Joyce, Dallas, sister, Elizabeth Glass and her husband Richard, Wallingford, Conn., a Grandson, Michael Rostkowski and two Granddaughters, Becky Hislop and Jenna Hislop, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral will be held Monday, August 22, 2016 at 10:00 AM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Dallas. Interment will be in Memorial Shrine Cemetery, Carverton. Friends may call Sunday from 6 to 8 pm at the Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas. Those attending the funeral should go directly to the church. In lieu of flowers, donations in Margrit's memory may be made to the St. Paul's Lutheran Church c/o 474 Yalick Road, Dallas, Pa. 18612 or to Guide Dog Foundation c/o 371 East Jericho Turnpike, Smithtown, NY, 11787.
