Margaret "Peggy" Jane Waters Bethel

Margaret (Peggy) Jane Waters Bethel, 88, Dallas, passed away, Saturday, January 4, 2025 at The Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas. Born in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late John and Leona Lamoreaux Waters and was a graduate of Kingston High School and Wilkes-Barre General Hospital School of Nursing as a registered nurse. 

 She had been employed by Leader West Nursing Center until her retirement. She was previously with Wilkes-Barre General Hospital for many years and with Carpenter Care Center. Peggy was a member of The Centermoreland United Methodist Church. Some of her favorite hobbies include Quilting, Knitting, Sewing, Ceramics, and Painting.

 Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Bethel in April of 2003, Grandson, Sgt. Tristan C. Bethel and sister, Janet Campbell. Surviving are her children, Annette Montante and her husband Joseph, Abington, PA, and Louis Bethel and his wife Robin, Centermoreland. Grandchildren, Angeline Bethel and Genevieve Montante. Sister, Joan Carle.

 Funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at 11:00 AM from The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, Pa 18612 with The Rev. Carol Folk, pastor, Centermoreland United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Shrine Cemetery, Wyoming. Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM at the Funeral Home.
