Margaret M. Fallon

     Margaret M. Fallon, 96, Dallas, passed away, Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Allied Hospice, Wilkes-Barre. Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Jay and Marguerite McKay Monahan and was a graduate of Luzerne High School and College Misericordia in Dallas, PA where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry. Margaret, more commonly known as Peggy, lived in the Back Mountain area for over 66 years. During her final years, she lived at The Village of Greenbriar on Memorial Highway in Dallas.

     In addition to being a member of the parish, Margaret was a teacher at Gate of Heaven School, Dallas for nearly 30 years. She was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society, the Parent Teachers Guild and was an associate member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians. Margaret was an avid fan of Notre Dame Football and the New York Yankees, especially Reggie Jackson. 

    Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Robert P. Fallon, her son, Robert J. Fallon, and her sister, Maureen M. Krasavage. Surviving is a daughter, Maureen F. Walsh, and her husband, William A. Walsh, Esquire, Lewes, Delaware, granddaughter, Erin E. Fallon, of Rhode Island, and several nieces and nephews. 

       Funeral services will be conducted Monday, February 12, 2024, at 10:30 AM at Gate of Heaven Church, Machell Ave., Dallas, PA. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 9:30 AM until the time of service at Gate of Heaven Church. Arrangements are under the direction of The Richard H.
