Loretta Kohol

Loretta Kohol, 77, Dallas, passed away, Friday, February 15, 2019 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born in Edwardsville, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Loretta Schenck Carpenter.

Loretta was a floor manager with Carpenter-Certech for many years. Also working at Bakery Delite. She was a member of The Shavertown United Methodist Church. She enjoyed volunteering with many organizations including The Meadows Nursing Center with their BINGO and The Back Mountain Senior Center. Loretta loved working with children and being a foster grandmother.

She was preceded in death by sisters, Lois Drust, Audrey Wagman, Kathryn Grundy, Peggy Adamski, Bertha Archibald, and Nancy Menkavitch. Brothers, William, Hank, Eddy, and Charles Carpenter and Lawrence Sorber. Surviving are daughter, Lynn Cowan and her husband Michael. Sons, Shawn McKune and John McKune. Granddaughters, Deanne Dennis and Heather Zaruta. Great granddaughters, Alyssa Zaruta and Bella Gwynn.

Funeral will be held Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at 7:00 PM at The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas. Friends may call Wednesday from 5:00 PM until time of service.
