Logan A. Scalfer 11, Kingston passed away, Thursday, February 11, 2026 at his residence. Born in Wilkes-Barre on April 14, 2014, he was the son of Anthony Scalfer and Amie Jasterzenski and attended Wyoming Valley West Middle School in the 6th grade.
Logan played soccer with The Kingston Lightning and loved watching One Piece, among many other anime shows and collecting and playing with Yugioh cards. Logan also enjoyed playing on his gaming PC and MetaQuest VR gaming console. Some of his favorite games were Roblox, Minecraft, Animal Company and Gorilla Tag.
Gaming wasn't his only love, his admiration of food was something not seen of many his age. He was always wanting to try and experience new things; always expanding his palate and looked forward to family vacations more for the foods he would get to experience rather than the trip itself.
Logan took on the persona of a loner, but with his heart of gold and his outstanding charisma, he had so many friends. Even though Logan had many friends, he always made time for his siblings. Logan was the middle child but he was the protector of all his siblings. They fought as most siblings do, but he would stand up to protect any of them in a moment’s notice.
Logan had the bluest of eyes and the sweetest freckles across his nose, but he was known for his hair. If you knew Logan, you knew he loved his long hair, it was a constant battle to get him to go for a hair cut, or even a trim, a battle he always won.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his step father David Moran and step mother Deirdra, a sister, Rylee Moran and stepsister, Coraline.
Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, Pa. Online condolences may be made at Disquefuneralhome.com
A memorial visitation will be open to the public at the W.V.W. Middle School, 201 Chester Street, Kingston, PA Friday, February 27, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
