Laurie A. Shultz

Laurie A. Shultz, 60, of Sweet Valley, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. She was born in Queens, NY to Helen Kazmierczak and the late Stanley Kazmierczak. She was a graduate of Chaparral High School in Las Vegas, NV. She began college at Penn State and finished at UNLV in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Care Administration. She went back to school in 2015 and received her certification in Medical Billing and Coding through Penn Foster Career School.

She worked in the medical field in various capacities for many years. She was a beloved and selfless mother who was passionate about cooking, music, doing puzzles, and most of all spending time with her family and pets. She was an exceptional home chef and found much joy in cooking meals for her loved ones.

Laurie is survived by her husband Robert Shultz of Sweet Valley, PA; daughters Miranda Morgan of Chesterton, IN and Jessica Morgan of Sweet Valley, PA; mother Helen Kazmierczak of Harvey’s Lake, PA; and brother James Kazmierczak of Harvey’s Lake, PA.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 17th, 2026 at 12:00 pm at The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home located at 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, PA. Friends and family may call to leave condolences on Saturday, January 17th, 2026 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.
