Joseph I. Petroski, of Plains, passed peacefully on May 31, 2025 with his loving family at his side. Born January 13, 1940 in Scranton, Joseph was the son of the late Joseph and Leona Ulkoski Petroski and was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and later dedicated over 40 years of hard work and loyalty to Topps as a mechanic.
Joseph was a man of quiet strength and steady presence. He adored his wife of 37 years, Sandra, with a devotion that was constant and extraordinary. Their marriage was filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support.
He found happiness not in what he owned, but in life’s simpler joys: a long walk, fishing, or reading a book. He never needed much to feel at peace, and he never asked for more than he was given.
Joseph leaves behind his beloved wife, Sandra; daughter, Joleen; granddaughter, Ruby; and sister, Carol. His passing leaves a hole in our hearts that can never be filled, but the love and memories we shared will remain with us always.
