     Joseph T. Kelley, 78 of Dallas, passed away Tuesday November 14, 2023 at home. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late James and Frances Stiegler Kelley and was a graduate of Kingston High School, class of 1963.

     Joe spent his entire work career as an electrical technician with Proctor and Gamble. In his younger years he was very active with The Back Mountain Little League, coaching and holding offices with in this organization. He had served his country proudly with the Navy during the Viet Nam conflict. He was a member of Daddow Isaacs American Legion Post #672, Dallas and was a past commander and served in the honor guard. He also served as Chief Finance Officer for American Legion District 12. He volunteered for many years with our local Veterans Affairs Medical Center, serving as a greeter, taking patients on offsite outings and hosting Bingo for the patients. Some of his outdoor activities were kayaking, bike riding, and tending to his flowerbeds.

    Surviving is his wife of 55 years, the former Charlotte Dorrance, at home. Daughter, Jennifer Adams and her husband Todd, Dallas. Sons, Christian Kelley and his wife Michele, Dallas, Leonard Kelley and his wife Terri, Dallas, Joseph Kelley and his wife Jonelle, Noxen. Grandchildren, Taylor, Madalyn, Leonard, Sam, William, Emma, and Emily Kelley, Jonathan and Bradley Adams, Kylee Kosek and Eddie Sikora. Sisters, Kathleen Kelley-Abrardo. Brothers, Thomas, James, Patrick, Paul, and Peter Kelley. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Allan and Michael Kelley.

      Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, Inc. 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, Pa 18612. On line condolences may be made to Disquefuneralhome.com.
