John P. Williams, 92, (better known as Jack) passed away on Friday, July 31, 2026 at home. Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late John and Miriam Zipfel Williams and was a graduate of Meyers High School, class of 1951. He attended Chester Street Elementary School and Penn State University.

Jack was a member of Gate of Heaven Church, Dallas. He was a planning engineer for 32 years with Bell of Pennsylvania before it became Verizon. He was a member of the Kingston and Dallas Lions Clubs, was the recipient of the Melvin Jones award and held various offices including president.

Jack was a fourth-degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council 302. He served his country proudly with the US Air Force in Korea. His miliary service took him to Scott and Harlingen Air Force Bases. Jack was assigned to the Radio Relay Squadron and Communications Group. For his service, he was awarded the Korean Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, and Good Conduct Medal. He later served in the Air Force Reserves.

In 1958, Jack married the love of his life, Mary Josephine Zeto. Together, they built a beautiful life in Kingston and later Dallas. Their enduring love story spanned over 60 years, blessed with three children, seven grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by Mary.

Surviving are his daughters, Kathleen Gereda and her husband Rodrigo, Kingston, Sharon Nehila and her wife Lynn, Bear Creek and son, David Williams and his wife Martha, Cave Creek, AZ, and brothers Jerry, Mike and Bob Williams and sister, Patricia Alessi.
