John Priestash

John M. Priestash, 62, passed away peacefully in his sleep Sunday morning at his home in Harding, PA. Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA he was the son of the late Frank and Yvonne Priestash. He graduated from GAR High School, class of 1977 and received his Bachelor’s of Science in Pharmacy from Temple University. John began his career in pharmacy where he served as a Sergeant in the United States Army and pharmacy technician at the Tripler Army Hospital, Honolulu, HI. He continued his career in pharmacy as Pharmacy Operations Manager with Medco Health Solutions. Later in his career he became a licensed Realtor with Keller Williams and JP & Associates Realtors in Dallas/Fort Worth, TX and was the Manager at Dymond Hollow Farms, Harding, PA.  Most recently he was a Pharmacist at Chewy’s Pet Pharmacy, Pittston, PA.

John enjoyed traveling, visits to the beach, the Arizona desertscapes, fishing on a quiet lake early in the morning, nature wildlife photography, woodworking, horticulture, and college football. He was a devout member of Valley Creek Church, Lewisville, TX & Christ Church, Plano, TX.

John leaves behind the love of his life, Kimberly Dawn, his wife of almost 36 years; sister, Lisa Fink of Wilkes-Barre, PA; brother, Ted Priestash of Wilkes-Barre, PA; brother Ernie Barber and his wife, Christina of The Villages, FL; sister, Michelle Strassman and her husband Eric of Downingtown, PA; nieces & nephews, Alice, Lou & Billie, Kate & Ian, Maddison & Collin, Max & Jacob; the twins, Gail Sivar & Gary Dymond, Harding, PA; and their family dog, Cody. He also leaves behind dear friends, neighbors, associates, extended family, his children of Compassion around the world, and brothers and sisters in Christ.

Memorial service will be held Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Dymond Hollow Community Church, Church Road, Harding, PA 18643.
