John Falzone

September 12, 1932 — June 22, 2017

John S. Falzone, 84, Swoyersville, passed away, Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Hershey Medical Center. Born in Pittston, he was the son of the late Biagio and Angeline Lombardo Falzone and was a graduate of Pittston High School and Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science. John had owned and operated Davenport's Pharmacy in Luzerne for many years before his retirement. He was a member of Holy Cross Episcopal Church, Wilke-Barre, formerly a member of St. James Episcopal Church, Pittston. John was also a member of The Holy Cross Society of Holy Cross Episcopal Church as well as a former Vestry member and Senior Warden of the Vestry. Many years ago Holy Cross refurbished the stain glass windows of the church and John was instrumental in that endeavor. He was also a member of Valley Lodge F & AM #499, West Pittston. He was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Simoncini, brothers, Frank, Joe, Tom, and Salvatore. Surviving is his wife the former Mary Salvo, at home, daughters, Angela Brodrecht and her husband, Robert, Jamison, Pa., Mary Rose Falzone, Lansdale, Pa., Sons, John Falzone and his companion Debbie Musto, Huntsville and William Falzone, Kingston. 7 Grandchildren. Brother, Louise Falzone, Wilkes-Barre. Funeral with Holy Eucharist will be celebrated Monday, June 26, 2017 at 10:00 am at Holy Cross Episcopal Church 373 N. Main Street, Wilkes-Barre, with The Rev. Timothy Alleman, pastor, Holy Cross Episcopal Church, officiating. Interment with Military Honors will be in Denison Cemetery, Swoyersville. Friends may call Sunday at The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, Pa. from 6 to 8 PM and again at the church Monday from 9:15 am until time of service. Valley Lodge #499 F & AM will conduct a Masonic service Sunday Evening. Arrangements are under the direction of The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas. Donations in John's memory may be made to Holy Cross Episcopal Church, c/o 373 N. Main Street, Wilkes-Barre, 18705
