John S. Blannard

John S. Blannard, 93, Swoyersville, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2025 at Highland Manor Nursing Center. Born in Pringle, he was the son of the late John and Frances Stegena Blannard and had attended the Swoyersville Schools.

John was a technician with Fortune Fabrics until his retirement. John was an avid football fan and lottery ticket player. He had served his country proudly in the ARMY during the Korean Conflict.

John was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, the former Emma Leonard in 2023. Also, a grandson John Blannard and sisters, Frances, Rose, Theresa, and Geraldine. Surviving are his sons, John Blannard and his wife Judy, Swoyersville, Benjamin Blannard and his wife Barbara, Avoca, and Steven Blannard and his wife Tammy, Shavertown. 8 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren. Brothers, Edward and Joseph Blannard.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at 10:00 AM from The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, Pa. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Courtdale. Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM. On line condolences may be made at Disquefuneralhome.com
