Janet E. Fritsky

       Janet E. Fritsky, 84, Dallas, passed away, Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital. Born in Dallas, she was the daughter of the late Willard and Ella Mosier Newberry and was a graduate of Dallas High School.

     Janet was in the accounting department of Commonwealth Telephone until her retirement. She was a member of Cross Creek Community Church and was very active with all the church activities. She was a mother figure to her 16 nieces and nephews and was the “Foundation of the Newberry Sisters”. Janet was always the one to turn to when her sisters needed guidance. 

      Janet was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Williams. Surviving is her husband of 49 years, Peter Fritsky, at home. Sisters, Judith Fitzgerald and Carol Kildoyle. Brother Willard Newberry. 

       Funeral services will be held, Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at 11:00 AM from The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, Pa. with The Rev. Joshua Coldren, pastor, Cross Creek Community Church, officiating. Interment will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas. Friends may call Monday from 6 to 8 PM.
