Janet Beth (Jenkins) Cunius

Janet Beth (Jenkins) Cunius, 71, of Shavertown, passed away Monday, June 30, 2025, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. She was surrounded by her family and will be sorely missed. Born in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late Edison and Emily (Jones) Jenkins. She was a graduate of Lake-Lehman High School, Class of 1972, and Luzerne County Community College. Preceding her in death was her husband, John J. Cunius (2018).

Most recently, Janet “Beth” worked with Joe Nardone’s Gallery of Sound. Previously, she worked with Jack Williams Tire Company for 40 years in advertising and purchasing. Beth was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church of Dallas and a former member of First Welsh Baptist Church of Plymouth. Beth loved walking on the beach, reading books with her book club, tending to the garden, and most of all, spending time with her family and friends.

Surviving is her daughter, Lauren Cunius, of Philadelphia, stepson John Cunius, Jr. of Wilkes-Barre Twp. with his wife Melanie and their son, Preston, and her brother, David Jenkins, of Brookeville, MD with his wife, Jolie. Beth also leaves behind a niece, nephew, grandnieces and grandnephews.
