Jane Tuman McAndrew of Dallas passed away at the Mercy Center in Dallas on May 14, 2021, at the age of 92. Jane was born on December 30, 1928, in Scranton to Thomas and Mary Mullen Tuman. She was a graduate of Scranton Central High School (Class of 1946) and Lackawanna Business College.
Jane was first employed as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone in Scranton, and she also worked for many years at the Back Mountain Lumber & Coal Company in Shavertown. In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, John (Frank) McAndrew in 2008, as well as her sisters Marjorie Allen, Alice Loftus, Mary Keany, and Doris Tuman. She is survived by her five children Frank (and Maryjo), Galesburg, Illinois; John, Huntingdon Mills; Rosemary (and Charles) Hozempa, Dallas; Christine Grieves, Dallas; and Paul (and Marianne), Downingtown. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Jane was deeply engaged with the life of the parish at Gate of Heaven Church in Dallas, where she was active in the Altar and Rosary Society. She also served as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion at Gate of Heaven and at the Mercy Center.

Disque Funeral Home, 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas on Monday evening, May 17, between 6:00 & 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Gate of Heaven Church, 40 Machell Ave., Dallas at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 18th.
