Ivan leaves behind his wife of 57 years, the former Alicia Richmond; daughter, Dana and her husband, Michael, Youngsville, North Carolina, Janice and her husband Joe, White Haven; four grandchildren, one great-grandchild and two great-grandchildren on the way. He was preceded in death by his mother, Janice Ziegler, of Wilkes-Barre. Ivan was a member of The Fifth Column Composite Lodge No. 38 F&AM, Connecticut, The Joshua Association, Dieu Le Veut Knights Templar, Shekinah Royal Arch Masons, Wilkes-Barre, Mount Horeb Council No. 34, Wilkes-Barre, and Irem Temple Shrine. He was with the Clown Unit of the Shrine as "Sad Sack." Ivan was a 50-year member of the Clown Unit. He marched in parades, rain or shine, including this year, visited at the children's hospital and also assisted with the Irem Shrine Circus every year. Since retiring, Ivan has enjoyed dabbling in computers and model trains. He was a member of The Hudson Model Train Club and enjoyed helping run the train display every Christmas. According to Ivan's family, he could fix anything, and if he couldn't, it probably couldn't be fixed. He tutored every one of his grandchildren in math throughout their school years, including long distance over the phone; he was always ready with a listening ear. Ivan will be missed by his family and friends. Funeral will be held privately at the convenience of his family. Arrangements are under the direction of The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas.
