Frances Wallo

Frances Wallo, 79, Dallas, passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at her residence. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Frances Burger Wentzel and was a graduate of Bishop O Reilly High School, Wilkes-Barre.

Frances was a member of Gate of Heaven Church, Dallas. She attended Our Lady of Victory Church. While with Gate of Heaven she devoted over 50 years as the church secretary as well as a member of The Altar and Rosary Society. In recent years, she dedicated time with the 4H of Luzerne County. With her corgis she was involved in many dog competitions. Frances would volunteer much of her time with her corgis at the Wilkes-Barre Scranton International Airport as well as nursing homes and colleges.

Frances was preceded in death by her husband William F. Wallo in December 2015 and her brother, James Wentzel. Surviving is her son, Stephen Wallo and his wife Jessica, Dallas. Daughter, Wendy Michael and her husband Cade, Utah. 2 Grandchildren, Raya and Calen. Her three corgis: Spice, Ivan, and Buddy.

Funeral service will be held, Monday, December 15, 2025 at 9:30 AM from The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, Pa 18612 with Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM from Gate of Heaven Church, 40 Machell Ave., Dallas, PA. Interment will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Dallas. Friends may call Sunday from 6 to 8 PM at the Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at disquefunmeralhome.com.
