Ernest M. Baul, 81, Dallas, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family, Saturday, June 20, 2026. Born in Kingston, he was the son of the late Ernest and Helen Slipetz Baul. Ernie was a dedicated personal trainer and consultant for many years. He believed that fitness was about more than just physical strength; it was about building confidence and resilience. Hundreds of clients attribute their personal growth and health journeys to Ernie’s unwavering encouragement, infectious energy, and belief in their potential. A proud veteran, Ernie, honorably served in the US Navy from 1962-1968. During the Vietnam War he was deployed aboard the USS Alcor. His dedication to his country was a defining chapter of his life, and he carried the Navy values of honor, courage and commitment with him always. Ernie is survived by his beloved partner of 28 years Donna Pitts, Son, Dr. Ernest Baul (Buddy) and wife Penny, Clearwater Beach, Fla. Son, Bruce Pitts and wife Jen, Kingston. Daughter, Jessa and husband Michael Bishop, Nolensville, Tenn. Grandchildren, Nathen, Adriana, Kierra, Penelope, Michael, Waylon, Bennett and Vivienne. Sisters, Maureen Szalkowski and husband Charles and Rose Beberus and husband John. Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, Inc. 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas. Online condolences may be made at Disquefuneralhome.com. A celebration of life is being planned and will be announced in the near future.
