Emma Jane Schoonover

Emma Jane Schoonover, 98, Dallas, passed away, Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at The Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas. Born in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late Draper and Ruth Besteder Schoonover and had attended the Centermoreland Schools.

Emma was a member of The Centermoreland Methodist Church. She was a seamstress with Noxen Dress Factory until her retirement. She was a former member of The Red Hats Society. She very much enjoyed BINGO at Mohegan Sun.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Basil Frantz in 1993. Also, by Sisters, Barbara Kundiff, Helen Frantz, Alice Patton, and Jestie Cook. Brothers, William, Lawrence, Matthew, and Charles Schoonover. Surviving are nieces and nephews, including Kathy McDade who was her care giver.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at 11:00 AM from The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, PA with The Rev. Chris Sutton, officiating.
