Elaine Hudak

Elaine M. Hudak, 71, Dallas, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Geisinger South Hospital.  Born in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late George and Dorothy Yurcho Kraynak and was a 1969 graduate of Wyoming Area High School.

Elaine was a member of Gate of Heaven Church in Dallas, as well as the Altar and Rosary Society and the Harveys Lake Women’s Club. She spent the bulk of her professional career with The Pennsylvania State Game Commission as clerical supervisor, retiring in 2013 after 27 years of service. She had also worked for some time with Biddle & Eno Insurance and, in her first job, at Royer Foundry and Machine Company, where she met her husband Joe in 1970. Elaine was a natural-born communicator with a brilliant smile — those who spoke even a brief moment with her know that she radiated kindness. An avid traveler, her favorite place on earth was Cape May, NJ, where she spent summers picking Cape May diamonds, shopping, eating hardshell crabs, dancing, and celebrating her family.

Elaine is survived by her husband of 50 years, Joseph J. Hudak, Jr; sons, Joseph J. Hudak III and his wife Alison, Nashville, TN; and Jason Hudak, Dallas; sister, Carol Buffington, Dublin, TX; numerous nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, June 30, 2022 at 10:00 AM from The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas with Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM at Gate of Heaven Church, Dallas. Interment will be in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Lehman.
