Donald R. LaBar, 69, Dallas, passed away Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital. Born in Kingston, he was the son of the late Clarence and Florence Park LaBar and was a graduate of Dallas High School class of 1971and attended Luzerne County Community College.
Donald was a boat mechanic with his family business, Caddie LaBar’s, Dallas. He was a member of Cross Creek Community Church, Trucksville and was an active member of the church with AWANA kid’s ministries and C4 ministries and a parking attendant. He was a faithful servant of God, a devoted father, and a big supporter of Dr. David Jeramiah. Don enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating with his family and friends.
Don is survived by her daughters, Carrie Meluskey, Carlisle, Pa., Danae LaBar, Dallas. Son, Nathan LaBar and his wife Jaclyn, Noxen. 6 Grandchildren and a granddog, Puffin. Sisters, Ruth Wolfe, Dallas, Linda A. Koeb, Georgia. Brothers, Clarence, Jr. “Caddie” LaBar and his wife Jan, South Carolina, R. Timothy “Tim” LaBar and his wife Roberta, Dallas, Elwood “Woody” LaBar and his wife Brenda, Dallas, Larry LaBar and his wife Karen, Dallas.
Funeral will be held, Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Cross Creek Community Center at 10:00 AM. Friends may call Monday from 6 to 8 PM at the church. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cross Creek Community Church, 370 Carverton Road, Trucksville, Pa. 18708. Arrangements are under the direction of The Richard H.
