David Charles Stare Sr., 71, Shavertown, passed away
Saturday, October 6, 2018 at his residence. Born in Dover, Pa, he
was the son of the late Charles Kenneth and Theda Amsbaugh Stare
and was a graduate of Dover High School, Mansfield University and
Wilkes College with a Master's Degree in Education. He was a
teacher in the Wilkes Barre Area School District for 31 years. He
taught US History and Psychology at Plains and Coughlin High
Schools.
David is survived by his wife of 38 years the former Judith
Fakesch (Good). Son David Stare Jr., Kingston and step-son Craig
Good and his wife Chris, Montrose. Grandchildren, Samantha Stare,
Caitlin Wilbur and husband Josh, and Cynthia Good and fiance'
Matt Christine. Sisters, Dawn Sheffer, Bonnie Belanian and
husband Sava. Nephews, Ervin and Mark.
David's memorial service will be held Thursday, October 11,
2018 at 5:30 PM at The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, Inc.,
2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, with The Rev. Dr. William Lewis officiating.
Friends may call Thursday from 4:00 pm until time of service. Donations may
be sent to Blue Chip farm animal refuge, c/o 974 Lockville Road, Dallas, Pa. 18612.
