Carole A. Bigelow

Carole Ann Bigelow, formerly Rosnick, 78, of Dallas, passed away Monday, January 26, 2026 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital. Born in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late David and Dorothy Goodman Rosnick and was a 1965 graduate of Dallas Senior High School where she was Head Majorette and a member of the Keyettes.

Carole was very active in the Evans Falls Elementary PTA and was a member of the Tunkhannock Area School Board. She found joy and pride among her expansive gardens where she worked three seasons of the year to create a beautiful home for her children and husband. She loved being outdoors in the winter ice skating and riding snowmobiles with her children, friends and extended family. Carole cared for many elderly family members and neighbors over the years, cooking meals and running errands for them with a generous heart. She was a tireless and vivacious host who loved to be surrounded by friends and family for holidays and celebrations.

Carole instilled a love of reading and a curiosity about the world in her elder daughter Holly, and an unrelenting glass-half-full spirit in her youngest, Megan.

Carole is survived by her husband and high school sweetheart, Butch Bigelow at home, as well as her beloved daughters, Holly Beth Bigelow, Queens, New York, and Megan Cara Gearhart and husband Kurt Gearhart, Minneapolis, Minnesota. Also surviving are sisters Maureen Federici and Patricia Rosnick, brother David Rosnick, sister-in-law Jan Bigelow Goeringer and husband Dr. Bruce Goeringer, many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, Pa 18612.
