Carol A. Sitar

 Carol A. Sitar, 83, Chester Springs, PA., passed away Thursday, July 11, 2024 at the home of her daughter in Downingtown, PA. Born in Dallas, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine Skvarla Polacky and was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and College Misericordia with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Art Education.

 Carol was a member of Gate of Heaven Church, Dallas. She was a homemaker for her family and caregiver to her late mother & mother-in-law. Throughout her life, Carol was known for her painting and sculpture talents, sewing and quilting expertise and beautiful stained-glass creations. She was very much involved in volunteer activities including community fund raisers for Gate of Heaven Church and School and Bishop O’Reilly High School. In her retirement, her giving continued where she and her husband created hundreds of lap quilts for residents in nursing homes. She was an active member of St. Elizabeth Church, Chester Springs, PA. 

 Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Sitar in 2022. Sisters, Patricia Gardner and Jeanne Herman. Brother, Joseph Polacky. Surviving are her daughters, Annette Stella and her husband Joseph, Downingtown, PA, Lucia Sitar, Chester Springs, PA, Paula Murphy and her husband Timothy, Springfield, PA. Sons, Michael Sitar and his wife Edyta, Oxnard, CA, David Sitar, Albion, MI. Four grandchildren. Sister, Mary Flagge, Marietta, GA.

 Funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at 10:30 AM from Gate of Heaven Church, Dallas. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Swoyersville.
